SOTU festival pre-party

The Sound Of The Underground festival has been taking place in Amsterdam every April since 2012. SOTU has a passion for genre bending sound and performances.

The SOTU festival celebrates the global DIY music and art scene and the unruly cultural traditions that have emerged from it.

On the eve of the festival, Resistor presents an evening full of dystopian sounds, crackling beats, improv,experimental performances, speedcore, noise and krautrock.

There are too much input around me everyday. The phenomena arrives always on schedule. It's a sound making project with stomp box and mixer.

Dechemtrails

Allmembers have a varying but open minded musical interest, which seemed to result in a modern improvised session, and a new musical adventure for the gentlemen. Multiple improvised songs and soundscapes are seamlessly played together in their gigs. Various atmospheres come and go, and the band interacts like a DJ with the crowd. Intense, improvised krautrock is the best description of the style of "De Chemtrails".

ZsZs

ZSZS is a noise and electro-acoustic project by Zeynep Sarıkartal that seeks to generate hybrid relations between hardware and software. ZSZS performances are about improvising within certain limitations,merging harsh and rhythmical structures together with text or field recordings, and creating unexpected sound dramaturgies.

FrankVis is an Amsterdam based, very active Noise Artist, labelowner and performer,known for unpredictable set ups, uncountable numbers of collaborations and a high vary of sound shapes, ranging for quiet and subtle soundscapes to harshest noise walls. “Vestas”is his newest solo project and only he knows what to expect from this.
